She was elusive.
She was today. She was tomorrow.
She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower,
the flitting shadow of an elf owl.
We did not know what to make of her.
In our minds we tried to pin her to corkboard like a butterfly,
but the pin merely went through
and away she flew.

[ ipod ]
Oh yeah! Another unforgetable highlight of my birthday is my *drum roll* video ipod, a generous gift from yours truly. What's with that face? I don't see anything wrong with the picture. Alright, granted that I'm still unable to carry out most of the commands the little gadget is able to do but the feeling is mutual. I'm in love with the snow white goddess dubbed 'Joie de Vivre' the first time I laid my eyes on it.
The name came from a French term which I first encountered in a website filled with Greek saying. I don't see the link (in both senses of the word) myself now that I think about it but fate brought us together one solemn night. Literally speaking and in word-for-word translation the phrase means 'joy of life'. On a deeper level, however (ah yes, the recollection of repeating this phrase on ever literature paper is surging through my brain) the meaning can vary from living a hearty, carefree life to everything equally positive.
Now all I need to do is to find a purdy casing (no casing good enough has been manufactured for video ipod thus far, mind you!) and learn how to put video in the video ipod! Now am I not defeating my own purpose?

[ Birthday! ]
Happy belated b'day to me!
Lol, I certainly had a great one, what with the IndoDVC style of birthday celebrating and all - Jacinda, one of my roommates were so thoughtful: she actually surprised me with an artistically humongous writing on the wall saying "Happy Sweet 17, Pol.."! Anyway, on the day itself, I actually skipped my Music Literature class which so totally rocks for *drum roll* a free buffet dinner! Lol! How could anyone be more cheapskate than that? Todai, a certain Japanese / Seafood buffet has this offer whereby you can eat for free during your birthday if you're accompanied by one paying adult. That's when Amanda came into place. Hmm, I've just realized that my not mentioning names in my blog is rather extreme to the sense that... I barely ever say anyone's names at all! Anyway, Amanda is this Singaporean girl amidst all my Indo friends. She's a psychology major and I'm writing like a 5th grader doing her diary entry. Gosh, how I hate my style of writing and the way my thought process can just go astray this way. Err... the thing is, we ended up having dinner together since we particularly LOVE seafood + Japanese food and stuffed ourselves up to the extent that she did not even eat a single full meal the next day. Myself, however, being the gluton that I am, continued as per normal. Can't believe I'm finally seventeen! W00t! Best years of my life, here I come!
Oh and this year's theme is flowers; all the cards I received has pictures of flower(s) in them. Coincidence?
i NEED to be better organized and stop getting distracted way too easily.
and yeah, that shall be my life mission.

[ My Grownup Christmas List ]
Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies
Well, I'm all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I'm not a child
But my heart still can dream

How does it feel if the 'forever' entailing the 'I love you's he dedicated to you just yesterday belongs to yet another soul today?
